MEET THE OWNER

Hi everyone! I’m Emily!

As the owner and lead instructor of Salt Lake City Twirlers, I would like to formally introduce myself.

Let’s start at the beginning..

I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. I was involved in many sports throughout my childhood including soccer, basketball, softball and volleyball. As I got older, I came across a sport unlike any other - baton twirling. It all started when I found a video online of a local baton twirling team. I was mesmerized by the way they were able to manipulate a tiny, metal stick in synchronicity. From that point forward, I was hooked. I enrolled in group and private lessons and never looked back.

Under the direction of world champion baton twirlers, my team and I achieved multiple national championship titles and qualified for the world competition. My team represented the USA and was awarded silver in the pom category. Through the sport of baton twirling, I’ve been given the opportunity to see the world. I’ve visited Ireland, Scotland, Belgium and the Netherlands.

In 2016, I began my career as a baton twirling coach. To date, I have experience instructing all ages in solo, duet and group categories. My specialities include one baton, two baton, three baton and fire batons.

I am extremely grateful for the sport of baton twirling as it has been a medium for artistic expression, personal development, and the cultivation of lifelong friendships. Looking forward, my goal is to share baton twirling and its benefits with Salt Lake City. This will be done through community events including parades, halftime shows, recitals and more!

You can be a part of our mission by signing up for group or private lessons. Batons will be provided for all who register through our website.

Together we can create a better community. See you soon!
